MALAIKA

The Swahili word for Angel is Malaika.

Malaika’s mission is to empower Congolese girls and their communities through education and health programs. The grassroots non-profit operates in the village of Kalebuka in the Southestern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

With the exception of the locally hired Congolese teachers and support staff, Malaika is operated by pro bono experts and volunteers from the public and private sector.

According to our philosophy, Education is one of the main key to solve social and environmental issues, which is why Smile Wave supports Malaika Foundation.
